What to Wear at Your Boudoir Shoot

A Boudoir photoshoot is a great excuse to go shopping for new lingerie and underwear, but it’s also an opportunity to show how great you look in casual clothes and evening wear! And don’t forget the accessories! The more outfits & items you bring to our session, the more diverse your album will be.

Ideas for clothing items include:

• thin, knit sweater off the shoulder
• little black dress / cocktail dress / sheer skirt
• cover-up wrap / shawl / cardigan
• blazer /suit jacket

Casual Wear

• tank top / t-shirt / off-the-shoulder long-sleeve shirt / crop top
• jeans / casual attire
• leather jacket / jean jacket
• long-sleeve white/light button-up men’s shirt
• sports jersey

Shoes

• Cute shoes
• High heels (the higher, the better)
• Boots

Lingerie

• bodysuit
• one-piece teddy / corset / halter bra
• at least one matching bra and panty set
• garter / garter belt set
• fishnets / sheer black hose / stockings
• cheeky panties / high-waisted bottoms
• see-through top
• sheer cape / lace robe / kimono

Accessories to consider bringing:

Jewelry

• body jewelry
• dangling earrings
• body chain
• pearls
• long necklaces
• gaudy costume jewelry

More

• scarves

• masks
• men’s tie
• favorite stuffed animal

What NOT to wear:

• Bright colors and patterns can be fun, but they don't work in every setting so be sparing with them. It's usually safest to stick to black, white, and muted/dark solid colors.
• PLEASE NO BABYDOLLS - that outward taper from immediately under the bustline is unflattering to every body shape.
