The Day Before Your Boudoir Session

Here's the Executive Summary:

Packing

Too many clients open up their bags and say things like, "Oh no, I forgot the panties that go with this bra!" or "Dang, I wish I'd remembered to bring my fishnets!" A lack of organization will rob you of some potentially spectacular photos of yourself. So make sure to plan ahead, and today, add to your bags whatever isn't in there yet. All your garments, all your accessories, your snacks, everything. Make sure you have both halves of your sets! (And don't forget the little things, like clips and hair thingies.)

Water

Drinking water hydrates your cells and flushes your system. Most people report having more radiant or clear skin after increasing their water intake. So if you want the most even-toned, most luminous skin possible at your shoot, drink up! The other benefit is that water is like lubricant for muscles. You are much less likely to cramp while posing, and will be less sore the day after your shoot. Hopefully you've been doing hydrating all week. But you definitely need to all throughout today and tomorrow.

Eating

Many clients make comments about their weight. While I see gorgeous women at both extremes of the spectrum, I do understand your desire to be comfortable in your own skin. One way to give yourself a little boost of confidence and self-comfort is to cut out salt the week before your shoot. Eating low- or no-sodium foods will cause you to lose water weight, making you feel less bloated and lighter.

Directions

The address of your shoot can be found in your contact emails. These also contain the link to a Google Map. You can save yourself time and stress tomorrow by knowing where they are tonight. Have you looked to see where you're going? Fewer surprises = less stress. And remember that being on time to your hair and makeup appointment tomorrow morning is essential.

Sleep

Tonight should not be a late night or a party night. Make sure to get enough sleep so you look and feel your best tomorrow.
