Why DawnYelle Boudoir? The short answer is: You.
As a photographer, designer, and artist, I have HUGE amounts of respect for creators of many mediums and styles. And Fort Wayne has several fantastic photographers that are making world-class boudoir photography – all of whom you should check out before deciding where to get your photos done.
If there are so many great ones, how should you choose? Some people just go with the first one they find, others shop around to find the lowest price. But I believe you are better served by making the choice based on knowing what sets each one apart. After all, you already know you’re going to end up with boudoir photos of yourself. But what will they show about YOU?
So, if I had to define what sets me apart, it would be this: At DawnYelle Boudoir, the set is not the star – YOU are!
There’s no doubt that some of the studios in town are incredible spaces. Lots of room, fancy decor, and amazing furniture. Jungle themes, Victorian themes, industrial themes, etc. And there is nothing wrong with that at all – I absolutely applaud their vision and the fantastic work that they are creating.
But my very simple philosophy is this: Boudoir is about YOUR personal empowerment. It’s about celebrating YOU. It’s about making YOU the star of your story. Wonder Woman’s power doesn’t come from her costume. Scarlett Johansson’s beauty doesn’t come from the movie set that she’s on. And YOU aren’t going to feel completely fulfilled when someone looks at your boudoir photos and comments on how gorgeous the room is instead of how amazing YOU look.
I never want someone to look at your boudoir photos and say, “I love that couch!” I don’t want them asking, “Where did you get these done? That room is amazing!” I want them to be unable to take their eyes off of YOU. I have to believe that you didn’t start this journey looking at a Ballard Designs catalog and thinking, “I wish I had pictures of me in that gorgeous bedroom.” I’m guessing it started with thoughts about YOU, who you are, and how you want to see yourself.
That’s what I’m going for with my photography. Making you the star, not the set.
